Abstract

The material used for demolition of masses of hardened concrete, clean cutting of ornamental rocks, etc. in place of conventional blasting with explosives, consists of mineral gypsum, dicalcium silicate and calcium aluminates with specified content of CaO and MgO, which on combination with water in given proportions forms various hydrated cpds. with a considerable increase in volume. The gypsum is milled to below 90 microns, 60-80% limestone and dolomite, 15-35% aluminous materials and 5% mineralisers are added. The prod. is homogenised, calcined at 1500-1700 deg.C, cooled and milled together with 3-5% reaction regulators.
