Abstract

A procedure for producing an improved tissue-type plasminogen activator (t-PA). It involves: (a) obtaining the gene coding for the molecule of improved t-PA by hybridization of the t-PA gene with an oligonucleotide probe (b) inserting the gene obtained into an expression vector (c) transfecting the expression vector into a host cell (d) recovering the improved t-PA produced in the previous stage. Application in the treatment of diseases of a thrombotic nature.
