Abstract

Convertible bodywork consisting of two independent modules, a front module and another, rear module, mounted on front and rear chassis portions which are also independent. The two chassis portions are connected together telescopically and linked by means of at least one longitudinal hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder. The front bodywork module is articulated to the front portion of the chassis along an axis which is coincident with or parallel to that of the front wheels and is linked to the rear portion of the chassis by means of two lateral hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders. When the cylinder which links the two chassis portions contracts, the cylinders which link the front bodywork module to the rear portion of the chassis expand, and vice versa, in order to shorten and lengthen the total length of the chassis.
