Abstract
Refining and bleaching method of substantially neutral crude fatty acid esters of polyhydric alcohols, taken from the class consisting of glycerol and polyglycols, characterized by comprising the addition to said esters of a solution of hydrogen peroxide in an amount sufficient to result in a bleaching said esters, heating and stirring the mixture, introducing an alkali in it, then letting the mixture stand to form two layers, recovering the refined ester and separating it from the water by evaporation.
