Process for obtaining 1-([1,1'-diphenyl]-4- ylphenylmethyl)-1H-imidazole. Comprises reacting 4-(1,1'-diphenyl)- ylphenylchloromethane with imidazole. The reaction can be carried out in an organic solvent such as acetonitrile and in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst like BBDE C1. The compound obtained has pharmacological activity, especially in vivo and in vitro antimycotic activity. <IMAGE>
