EL METODO CONSTA DE LAS SIGUIENTES FASES: 1) DIRIGIR UN IMPULSO ACUSTICO EN CUALQUIERA DE LAS INTERFACES; 2) MEDIR UNA AMPLITUD DE REFERENCIA DEL IMPULSO ACUSTICO REFLEJADO DE LA INTERFAZ CUANDO ESTA TOMA UNA PRESION DE CONTACTO INICIAL (NORMALMENTE CERO); 3) MEDIR UNA SEGUNDA AMPLITUD "CARGADA" DEL IMPULSO ACUSTICO REFLEJADO DESDE LA INTERFAZ CUANDO ESTA ESTA TOMANDO UNA PRESION DE CONTACTO DIFERENTE; 4) COMPUTAR A PARTIR DE LAS MEDICIONES DE AMPLITUD CARGADA Y DE REFERENCIA UN COEFICIENTE U OTRA MEDIDA DIRECTAMENTE INDICATIVA DEL CAMBIO QUE SE HA PRODUCIDO EN LA PRESION DE CONTACTO; Y 5) RELACIONAR DICHO COEFICIENTE CON LA PRESION DE CONTACTO MEDIANTE UNA CURVA DE CALIBRACION, DESARROLLADA AL UTILIZAR LAS ANTERIORES FASES SOBRE UN NIVEL DE PRESIONES DE CONTACTO CONOCIDAS, PARA EL MATERIAL ESPECIFICO DE CUERPOS SOLIDOS Y PELICULA DE QUE SE TRATA.
