EN EL PROCESO DESCUBIERTO, UN HALURO DE 2, 5 DIHALOADIPATO SE FORMA BAJO CONDICIONES QUE ORIGINAN LA FORMACION DE UN COMPUESTO ACIDO. EL HALURO 2,5 - DIHALOADIPOILO ES ENTONCES ESTERIFICADO BAJO CONDICIONES EN QUE EL ESTER DEL HALURO DE DIHALOADIPOILO PUEDE PERMANECER EN CONTACTO CON EL COMPUESTO ACIDO, PERMITIENDO ASI QUE EL DIESTER RACEMICO EPIMERICE EN PRESENCIA DEL COMPUESTO ACIDO A LA FORMA MESO Y ENTONCES, EN LA ULTIMA ETAPA, EL MESO DIESTER PRODUCIDO SEPARA.
