PARA LA REFRIGERACION DEL SOPORTE DE CALOR QUE SE ENCUENTRA EN EL ABSORBEDOR (15), SE VAPORIZA UN LIQUIDO (P. E. AGUA), QUE SE ENCUENTRA EN EL REVESTIMIENTO (3) DE ABSORCION, MEDIANTE RADIACION SOLAR EN LA SUPERFICIE (REFRIGERACION POR DIFUSION). EL VAPOR CONDENSADO EN LA CARCASA DEL COLECTOR (2), FLUYE POR LAS PAREDES LATERALES PARA CONCLUIR EN EL MARCO DE PERFIL HUECO (1). DESDE ESTE MARCO (1), EL LIQUIDO PASA DE NUEVO AL REVESTIMIENTO (3) MICROPOROSO.
