EL DEVANADO ESTA MONTADO PARA GIRAR CON EL ROTOR DE UNA MAQUINA EN LA QUE ESTA PRESENTE UN POTENCIAL ELECTRICO A TRAVES DEL DEVANADO DURANTE EL FUNCIONAMIENTO DE LA MAQUINA, EL ROTOR ESTA PUESTO A TIERRA Y EL DEVANADO ESTA NORMALMENTE AISLADO RESPECTO DE TIERRA, INCLUYENDO EL DISPOSITIVO UN ELEMENTO EMISOR DE LUZ QUE RESPONDE A LA CORRIENTE, MONTADO PARA GIRAR CON EL ROTOR Y CONECTADO ELECTRICAMENTE ENTRE EL DEVANADO Y EL ROTOR; Y UN DETECTOR QUE RESPONDE A LA LUZ, FIJADO EN UNA POSICION CON RELACION A LA MAQUINA Y QUE TIENE UN CAMPO DE VISION QUE ES RECORRIDO POR EL ELEMENTO EMISOR DE LUZ DURANTE UNA PARTE DE CADA REVOLUCION DEL ROTOR.
