UN SOPORTE CATALIZADOR METALICO (1) DE ESTRUCTURA PANAL, A TRAVES DEL CUAL PUEDE CIRCULAR UN FLUIDO, ESTA RODEADO DE UN REVESTIMIENTO TUBULAR (2) E INSERTADO EN UNA ABERTURA (5) QUE HAY EN UNA PARED SEPARADORA (4) APROXIMADAMENTE PERPENDICULAR AL SENTIDO DEL FLUJO. LA FABRICACION DE ESTE TIPO DE SOPORTE RELATIVAMENTE COMPACTO (1), QUE SE UTILIZA PARA PURIFICAR LOS GASES DE ESCAPE DE MOTORES PEQUEÑOS, SE PUEDE SIMPLIFICAR Y SU DURACION SE PUEDE ALARGAR SI SE COLOCA EN EL REVESTIMIENTO TUBULAR (2) DEL SOPORTE CATALIZADOR (3) UN REBORDE PERIFERICO POR LO MENOS (3). DE ESTE MODO, SE PUEDE EMPUJAR EL REVESTIMIENTO TUBULAR (2) INTRODUCIENDOLO EN LA ABERTURA (5) QUE HAY EN LA PARED SEPARADORA (4) HASTA QUE EL REBORDE (3) LO PARA.
