SEGUN EL INVENTO, LOS VIDRIOS DESTINADOS A SER TRANSFORMADOS EN FIBRAS CONTINUAS O DISCONTINUAS CONTIENEN ALREDEDOR DE 1% EN PESO DE FE2O3, EL GRADO DE OXIDACION DEL VIDRIO ES OBTENIDO INCORPORANDO EN LA MEZCLA DE PRODUCTOS VITRIFICABLES AL MENOS DOS OXIDANTES, UNO DE ELLOS ES UN NITRATO INORGANICO, EL OTRO A ELEGIR ENTRE UN COMPUESTO OXIGENADO DEL MANGANESO EN EL CUAL EL ESTADO DE OXIDACION DEL MANGANESO ES SUPERIOR A 2, EL BICROMATO DE POTASIO Y/O EL OXIDO CERICO.
