Abstract

Un procedimiento para producir partículas vertibles de un material plástico que es normalmente susceptible a apelmazarse a las temperaturas encontradas durante condiciones de almacenamiento, que comprende: (a) suministrar dicho material plástico en una forma extrudible casi al Punto de Derretimiento en Anillo y Bola de dicho material plástico; (b) extrudir dicho material plástico a través de al menos un orificio de una hilera sumergida en un fluido de enfriamiento; (c) cortar dicho material plástico a medida que sale de dicha hilera mientras está en contacto con dicho fluido de enfriamiento, formándose así partículas de dicho material plástico; (d) separar dichas partículas de dicho fluido de enfriamiento; y (e) poner en contacto dichas partículas con un material no pegajoso que sea compatible con dicho material plástico; en donde dicho material plástico también se pone en contacto con un material no pegajoso que sea compatible con dicho material plástico mientras está en contacto con dichofluido de enfriamiento antes de que dichas partículas de dicho material plástico entren en contacto significativamente entre ellas.
