Abstract

Un procedimiento para la preparación de un poliéster a partir de un ácido graso dímero y un glicol sin átomos de hidrógeno en un átomo de carbono alfa dicho procedimiento se caracteriza porque comprende calentar y esterificar una mezcla de reacción de ácido graso dímero, dicho glicol con impedimento estérico y un estabilizador de cadena de monoalcohol C3-C12 en las cantidades aproximadamente equivalentes requeridas de grupos carboxilo e hidroxilo y calentar la mezcla mientras se permite dejar escapar al agua de reacción, dicha reacción de esterificación es capaz de hacerse en la presencia de un catalizador tal como ácido p-toluensulfónico, o un compuesto orgánico de metal.
