LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN PROCEDIMIENTO DE PREPARACION DE UNA ATMOSFERA PARA TRATAMIENTO TERMICO DE METALES FORMADA POR APORTE DE UNA CORRIENTE GASEOSA DE NITROGENO, SEGUN EL CUAL SE FORMA PRIMERO, POR SEPARACION DE AIRE POR ADSORCION SELECTIVA, UNA CORRIENTE GASEOSA DE NITROGENO BRUTO CON CONTENIDO RESIDUAL DE OXIGENO, A LA QUE SE AÑADE UNA CORRIENTE DE HIDROGENO POR LO MENOS SUFICIENTE PARA ELIMINAR, POR REACCION CATALITICA DE FORMACION DE VAPOR DE AGUA, LO ESENCIAL DEL OXIGENO RESIDUAL, CARACTERIZADO POR LA EJECUCION COMBINADA DE LAS OPERACIONES SIGUIENTES: A) LA SEPARACION DE AIRE POR ADSORCION SELECTIVA SE LLEVA A CABO DE FORMA QUE LA CORRIENTE RESIDUAL DE NITROGENO TENGA UN CONTENIDO RESIDUAL EN OXIGENO COMPRENDIDO ENTRE 0,1 Y 3 %; B) LA REACCION CATALITICA DE FORMACION DE VAPOR DE AGUA ESTA ASEGURADA EXCLUSIVAMENTE CON CATALIZADORES CUYA ACTUACION ESTA EXENTA DE APORTE TERMICO EXTERIOR; C) LA REACCION CATALITICA DE FORMACION DE VAPOR DE AGUA SE EFECTUA DE FORMA QUE EL CONTENIDORESIDUAL DE OXIGENO SEA INFERIOR A 30 PPM, CON UN CONTENIDO EN VAPOR DE AGUA ENTRE 0,2 Y 6 % REFERIDO A LA CORRIENTE DE NITROGENO. APLICACION EXCLUSIVA AL RECOCIDO Y SOLDADURA DE COBRE, RECOCIDO DESCARBURANTE DE ACEROS, NITRURACION DE ACEROS, CALCINADO DE COBRE, NIQUEL, ALEACIONES COBRE-NIQUEL EN SU CASO CON PLOMO, ALEACION COBRE-CIN.
