SE PROPORCIONA UN NUVO PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA PRODUCCION DE ACIDO L-2-AMINO-4-(HIDROXIMETIL -FOSFINIL)BUTIRICO (L-AMPB), EN EL QUE SE TRATA ACIDO 4-(HIDROXIMETILFOSFINIL)-2-OXO-BUTIRICO CON UNA O MAS TRANSAMINASAS O CON UNO O MAS MICROORGANISMOS CAPACES DE PRODUCIR TRANSAMINASAS, EN PRESENCIA DE UNO O MAS COMPUESTOS DONADORES DE AMINA TAL COMO LOS ALFA-AMINOACIDOS. SEGUN EL PROCEDIMIENTO DE LA INVENCION EL L-AMPB OPTICAMENTE ACTIVO, UTIL COMO AGENTE HERBICIDA, PUEDE SER PRODUCIDO DE FORMA EFICIENTE Y SENCILLA EN UN TIEMPO DE REACCION RAZONABLE.
