ESTA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN METODO PARA MEJORAR LA DESHIDRATACION DEL TRIHIDRATO DE ALUMINA OBTENIDO MEDIANTE EL PROCESO BAYER. EL METODO CONSISTE EN EL TRATAMIENTO DEL TRIHIDRATO DE ALUMINA CON EL PRODUCTO OBTENIDO DE COMBINAR UNA SOLUCION ALCALINA Y UN ACIDO GRASO C8 A C20, UN PRECURSOR DE ACIDO GRASO COMO UN ESTER O AMIDA, O UNA MEZCLA DE ACIDO GRASO. EL PRODUCTO, UNA SAL DE ACIDO GRASO, ES UN MEDIO MUY EFICAZ DE DESHIDRATACION. EL TRIHIDRATO DE ALUMINA PUEDE LAVARSE CON UNA SOLUCION QUE CONTENGA DICHO PRODUCTO, O BIEN EL PRODUCTO PUEDE AÑADIRSE A UNA MEZCLA DE SOLUCION BAYER CON ANTERIORIDAD A LA FILTRACION DEL TRIHIDRATO DE ALUMINA. LA INVENCION TAMBIEN CONTEMPLA UN MEDIO DE DESHIDRATACION QUE CONSTA DEL PRODUCTO OBTENIDO DE LA MEZCLA DE UNA SOLUCION ALCALINA CON UN ACIDO GRASO C8 A C20 O UN PRECURSOR DE ACIDO GRASO.
