Abstract

The flat tubes are mfd. with internally soldered turbulence inserts. The tubes are initially formed as oval tubes, and have excess dimensions relative to the insert. These are then inserted the tubes, the tubes are compressed to a flat cross section, and are then soldered together with the inserts in a heating chamber. During compression, the flat tubes (10) are plastically deformed in the area of their side edges (14). Due to this, the side edges are connected to the flat sides (15,16) via a kink line (19), and they have a curvature, which is smaller relative to the semi-cylinder.
