HILO METALICO CON UN SUBSTRATO Y UN REVESTIMIENTO. EL SUBSTRATO ES UN ACERO CUYO CONTENIDO EN CARBONO ES AL MENOS IGUAL A 0,05% Y A LO MAS IGUAL A 0,6%, ESTE ACERO PRESENTA UNA ESTRUCTURA QUE COMPORTA MAS DEL 90% DE MARTENSITA REVENIDA BATIDA. EL SUBSTRATO ESTA REVESTIDO POR UNA ALEACION METALICA ADEMAS DEL ACERO. PROCESO PARA OBTENER ESTE HILO. SE BATE UN HILO DE MAQUINA DE ACERO QUE COMPORTA DE 28% A 96% DE FERRITA PROEUTECTOIDE Y DE 72% A 4% DE PERLITA. SE EFECTUA UN TRATAMIENTO DE TEMPLE PARA OBTENER UNA ESTRUCTURA QUE COMPORTA MAS DEL 90% DE MARTENSITA. SE EFECTUA DESPUES UN DEPOSITO DE METALES, SE CALIENTA EL HILO PARA PROVOCAR LA FORMACION DE UNA ALEACION Y LA FORMACION DE UNA ESTRUCTURA QUE COMPORTA MAS DEL 90% DE MARTENSITA REVENIDA. SE ENFRIA EL HILO Y SE LE BATE. ESTE HILO ES UTILIZADO POR EJEMPLO PARA REFORZAR LAS CUBIERTAS DE NEUMATICOS.
