CADA UNO DE LOS ACIDOS A PARTIR DE LOS CUALES SE PREPARA EL ESTER, TIENE UN GRUPO ALQUIL DIFERENTE. ESTO FACILITA LA ADAPTACION DEL ESTER MEZCLADO PARA SER UTILIZADO COMO ESTABILIZADOR ESPECIALMENTE COMPATIBLE CON UN MATERIAL DE POLIMEROS DE RESINA ESPECIFICO. PREFERIBLEMENTE SE PREPARA CADA ACIDO 3-ALQUILTIOPROPIONICO MEDIANTE UNA REACCION DE ADICION DIRECTA ENTRE ALQUILMERCAPTAN Y ACIDO ACRILICO O UNA SAL DE METAL ALCALINO DERIVADA, REALIZANDOSE LA REACCION MEDIANTE EL CALENTAMIENTO DE LOS REACTANTES EN PRESENCIA DE UNA SOLUCION ACUOSA ALCALINA.
