EL OBJETO DE LA INVENCION ES UN ACEITE DE SEMILLA DE GIRASOL CON UN CONTENIDO DE ACIDO ESTEARICO COMPRENDIDO ENTRE EL 10 POR CIENTO Y EL 19 POR CIENTO RESPECTO AL CONTENIDO TOTAL EN ACIDOS GRASOS DEL ACEITE, DE UTILIDAD PARA LA INDUSTRIA DE PASTELERIA Y OTRAS QUE NECESITEN GRASAS SEMISOLIDAS. LA PLANTA DE GIRASOL QUE PRODUCE ESTE TIPO DE SEMILLA HA SIDO PRODUCIDA POR UN PROCEDIMIENTO BIOTECNOLOGICO. ESTE CARACTER DE ALTO CONTENIDO EN ACIDO ESTEARICO ES HEREDABLE Y SE PRODUCE SIEMPRE INDEPENDIENTEMENTE DE LAS CONDICIONES DE CULTIVO.
