EN LA CELULA ELECTROLITICA LA HOJA DE METAL SE MONTA EN EL PORTAMUESTRAS SITUADO EN EL FONDO. EL CATODO CONTIENE AGUJEROS PARA PERMITIR EL PASO DE BURBUJAS DE OXIGENO FORMADAS DURANTE EL PROCESO DE ATAQUE ELECTROQUIMICO Y SE SITUA SOBRE EL PORTAMUESTRAS. LAS PAREDES SUJETANDO EL PORTAMUESTRAS Y EL CATODO TIENEN TAMBIEN ORIFICIOS PARA PERMITIR LA SUSTITUCION DEL ELECTROLITO AGOTADO ENTRE LOS ELECTRODOS POR OTRO NUEVO.
