Abstract

The invention relates to an accumulator with a double shell for preparing and storing hot domestic water, consisting of a container (1) which is provided with a cold-water supply and hot-water discharge connection (3, 4) and is surrounded by an outer shell (2), with a shape adapted to the said container, which conducts the heating medium and on which heating-medium flow and return connections (6, 7) are arranged. In order to improve and simplify such an accumulator with a double shell with regard to its outer-shell termination in such a way that neither the fabrication and welding-in of a separate ring nor a special shaping of the container terminating end is required, according to the invention the storage container (1) is provided, in the region of the end (8) of the outer shell (2), with an outwardly curved circumferential flange (9) and the end edge (10) of the outer shell (2) is welded onto this circumferential flange (9). <IMAGE>
