Abstract
PURPOSE: To form the titled heat exchanger to the smaller sized shape by providing a bayonet type heat transfer pipe into a heat pipe and sealing an intermediate heat medium between the outside circumference of the outside pipe of the bayonet type heat transfer pipe and the inside circumference of the heat pipe.
CONSTITUTION: The water flowing down in the outside pipe 7 of the bayonet type heat transfer pipe 10 turns back at the bottom end of the pipe 10 and rises between the outside peripheral face of the inside pipe 17 and the inside peripheral face of the heat transfer pipe 15. This water is heated by the intermediate heat medium 19 sealed between the inside peripheral face of the heat pipe 11 and the outside peripheral face of the heat transfer pipe 10 and is thereby subjected to a heat exchange during the time from the inflow into the inside pipe 17 before the outflow from the outside pipe 15. The heat medium 19 is heated via the pipe 11 by primary sodium. The sectional area of the pipe 11 is thus effectively utilized without decreasing the heat exchange area of the heat transfer pipe in the pipe 11, by which the reduction of the size of the heat exchanger is enabled.
