EN UN RECUBRIMIENTO DE POLVO ELECTROSTATICO DESAPARECE EN LAS SUPERFICIES METALICAS, QUE ESTAN PROVISTAS DE UNA PELICULA DE LUBRICANTE PARA LA PROTECCION CONTRA LA CORROSION DURANTE EL ALMACENAMIENTO Y EL TRANSPORTE. EL POLVO ARTIFICIAL SE APLICA A LA SUPERFICIE, SIN QUE LA PELICULA DE LUBRICANTE SE PIERDA. A CONTINUACION LA CAPA DE POLVO SE FUNDE EN UN HORNO DE CALCINACION Y SE LE SOMETE A UN ENFRIAMIENTO PARA ENDURECERLO. SE DEBE CONSEGUIR LA VOLATILIZACION DEL LUBRICANTE CON EL CALOR APLICADO EN EL HORNO. DE ESTA FORMA SE UTILIZA UN LUBRICANTE, QUE DURANTE EL PROCESO DE CALENTAMIENTO PERMANECE ESTABLE Y PERMANECE EN LA SUPERFICIE DE LAS PIEZAS DE TRABAJO. ESTO ENCIERRA LA POSIBILIDAD DE QUE LOS COMPONENTES AISLADOS O TODO EL LUBRICANTE, SE DIFUNDAN Y SE EVAPOREN EN LA CAPA DE POLVO DURANTE EL PROCESO DE CALENTAMIENTO, O QUE TAMBIEN UNA PARTE O TODA LA CANTIDAD DE LUBRICANTE PERMANEZCAN EN LAS PIEZAS DE TRABAJO DURANTE EL PROCESO DE CALENTAMIENTO Y SE MEZCLA CON LA CAPA DE POLVO.
