EN UN PROCEDIMIENTO DE CROMATOGRAFIA EN CONTRACORRIENTE FUNCIONAMIENTO EN CONTINUO SE PRODUCE UN MOVIMIENTO RELATIVO ENTRE EL ABSORBENTE CONSISTENTE EN UNA FASE SOLIDA Y UNA FASE LIQUIDA MOVIL EN COLUMNAS DE CROMATOGRAFIA CONECTADAS UNA TRAS OTRA A TRAVES DE APERTURAS SECUENCIALES DE POSICIONES DE TOMA Y DE ADICION DE LIQUIDOS A LO LARGO DE LAS COLUMNAS DE CROMATOGRAFIA. COMO ABSORBENTE SE EMPLEA UN POLIMERO O MATERIAL QUIRAL SOBRE UN SOPORTE INORGANICO. DE ESTE MODO TIENE EXITO LA SEPARACION DE UNA MEZCLA DE ENANTIOMEROS CON AYUDA DE LA CROMATOGRAFIA EN CONTRACORRIENTE CONTINUA. PARTICULARMENTE DAN BUEN RESULTADO LOS ABSORBENTES DE POLIMERIZADOS RETICULADOS QUE SE OBTIENEN DE ACRILAMIDAS, METACRILAMIDAS Y FLUROACRILAMIDAS OPTICAMENTE ACTIVAS.
