LA ACTIVACION DE CLORURO DE MESILO DE UNIDADES DE HIDROXILO SUPERFICIALES PROPORCIONA LOS LUGARES DE SUPERFICIE ACTIVA POR LOS CUALES UN BRAZO DE GLICINA TERMINAL DE UN PEPTIDO SELECCIONADO SE UNE PARA FORMAR UNIONES COVALENTES ENTRE EL SUSTRATO Y EL PEPTIDO.
