EL CARBONATODIMETIL (DMC) SE ELABORA MEDIANTE REACCION DE FASE GASEOSA CONTINUA DEL MONOXIDO DE CARBONO Y NITRITOMETIL EN UN CATALIZADOR QUE CONTIENE UN METAL DE PLATINO HETEROGENEO EN TEMPERATURAS DESDE 50 HASTA 170 TA 5 BAR. EL PRODUCTO DE REACCION SE SOMETE A ELABORACION EN MULTIPLES ETAPAS, CONTENIENDO LOS SIGUIENTES PASOS: 1. EN UN CONDENSADOR/LAVADOR SE SEPARA EL PRODUCTO DE REACCION EN LA PORCION GASEOSA Y LIQUIDA; LA PORCION GASEOSA SE GUIA NUEVAMENTE PARA LA FORMACION NUEVA DE NITRITO METIL, LA PORCION LIQUIDA SE GUIA A UN TRATAMIENTO DESTILATIVO. 2. EN LA PRIMERA ETAPA DE DESTILACION REALIZADA DESDE 5 HASTA 15 BAR SE OBTIENE DMC COMO DESARROLLO DEL FONDO. EL PRODUCTO CABEZAL SE GUIA A UNA SEGUNDA ETAPA DE DESTILACION O A UNA PERVAPORACION O PERMEACION DE VAPOR. 3.1 EN LA SEGUNDA ETAPA DE DESTILACION REALIZADA ENTRE 0,2 Y 1,5 BAR SE OBTIENE METANOL COMO DESARROLLO DEL FONDO, QUE PUEDE SER GUIADO PARA LA FORMACION NUEVA DE NITRITOMETIL. EL PRODUCTO CABEZAL DE LA SEGUNDA ETAPA DE DESTILACION SE SOMETE DE NUEVO A LA PRIMERA ETAPA DE DESTILACION. 3.2 ALTERNATIVAMENTE AL 3.1 SE OBTIENE EN LA PERVAPORACION O EN LA PERMEACION DE VAPOR UN PERMEADO, QUE SE COMPONE ESENCIALMENTE DE METANOL Y PUEDE SER GUIADO A LA FORMACION NUEVA DE NITRITOMETIL, Y UN RETENTADO QUE SE GUIA DE NUEVO A LA PRIMERA DESTILACION.
