ESTE PROCESO CONSISTE EN: (A) HACER REACCIONAR ACETONA CINAHIDRINA CON ACIDO SULFURICO O UN OLEO, PARA OBTENER METACRILAMIDA; B) HACER REACCIONAR EL METACRILAMIDA ASI OBTENIDO BIEN DIRECTAMENTE, BIEN DESPUES DE HABERLO AISLADO, CON METANOL EN PRESENCIA DE AGUA; C) SEPARA POR DESTILACION LE METACRILATO DE METILO DE LA MEZCLA DE ACIDO SULFURICO, SULFATO DE AMOIO Y AGUA; D) ELIMIANR POR EXTRACCION LIQUIDO-LIQUIDO EL METANOL QUE NO HA REACCIONADO; E) DESTILAR EL METACRILATO DE METILO LAVADO EN DOS FASES: (E1) EN PRIMER LUGAR PARA ELIMINAR LAS HUELLAS RESTANTES DE AGUA, DE METANOL Y DE LAS IMPUREZAS CON BAJO PUNTO DE EBULLICION; Y A CONTINUACION (E2) PARA SEPARAR EL METACRILATO DE METILO PURO DE LAS IMPUREZAS DE ALTO PUNTO DE EBULLICION, SEGUN LA INVENCION, SE LLEVA LA ETAPA (2) EN PRESENCIA DE AL MENOS UNA 1,2-DIAMINA NO AROMATICA CAPAZ DE REACCIONAR, BAJOS CATALISIS ACIDA, CON EL DIACETILO PRESENTE COMO IMPUREZA EN EL METACRILATO DE METILO Y DEDUCIR EL CONTENIDO, SIENDO DICHA 1,2DIAMINA NO AROMATICA INTRODUCIDA EN UN PUNTO TAL QUE SU TIEMPO DE CONTACTO CON EL METACRILATO DE METILO SEA SUFICIENTE PARA QUE PUEDA REACCIONAR DE MANERA SUSTANCIAL CON EL DIACETILO PRESENTE.
