CUANDO EL CUERPO ESTA EN ESTA FORMA DE ESTADO INEXPANDIDO, LOS LARGOS COSTADOS DE LAS CELULAS OBLONGAS ESTAN DISPUESTAS SUSTANCIALMENTE PARALELAS AL EJE LONGITUDINAL DEL CUERPO TUBULAR. LAS CELULAS CONTIGUAS PUEDEN ENTONCES ESTAR UNIDAS EN UN PUNTO (2,2'';3,3'';5,5'';7,7'') ENTRE LOS COSTADOS PARALELOS ADYACENTES DE LAS CELULAS.
