Abstract

In the four pole contactor each pole features a moving contact bridge (29) cooperating with two fixed contacts. Several such bridges are housed in a common support (e.g. 28a) movable by an electromagnet (Ea). Each pair of power terminals is connected by a conductive fork to a fixed contact, and associated with one of the two bases (10a,10b) containing identical subassemblies (24a,24b). The subassemblies are joined together mechanically by a coupler (36) passing through apertures (34,35) in the sidewalls of the bases. Grooves are provided in the sidewalls for wires interconnecting the two electromagnet coils (Ca,Cb).
