EN UNA MAQUINA QUE TIENE COMPONENTES GIRATORIOS, EN LA CUAL SE PROCESA UNA SUBSTANCIA DE FORMA CONTINUA, UN SENSOR GENERA SEÑALES REPRESENTATIVAS DE LA VELOCIDAD INSTANTANEA DE SUMINISTRO DE LA SUBSTANCIA EN UNA O MAS UBICACIONES SELECCIONADAS EN LA MAQUINA. UN PROCESADOR REALIZA UN ANALISIS DE TRANSFORMACION RAPIDA DE FOURIER (FFT) SOBRE LAS SEÑALES, PARA DETERMINAR EL VALOR ARMONICO DE AMPLITUD EN CADA FRECUENCIA SOBRE UN ESPECTRO DE FRECUENCIAS. LOS VALORES DE FFT MEDIDOS SON COMPARADOS CON VALORES DE REFERENCIA EN LAS FRECUENCIAS CORRESPONDIENTES PARA IDENTIFICAR VALORES FUERA DE ESPECTRO Y GENERAR UNA SEÑAL DE ERROR. PREFERIBLEMENTE, EL PROCESADOR IGUALA LA FRECUENCIA QUE SE CORRESPONDE CON LA AMPLITUD FUERA DE ESPECTRO CON UN VALOR DE FRECUENCIA ARMONICA CORRESPONDIENTE DE UNO DE LOS COMPONENTES GIRATORIOS DE LA MAQUINA.
