Abstract

Instalación y procedimiento de medida de la ovalización y diámetro de ruedas ferroviarias utilizando un carril de rodadura (2) por el que se hace pasar la rueda ferroviaria (1) a medir, y un contracarril (8) para centrar dicha rueda durante el proceso de medida. Varias fuentes de luz sólida (3) proyectan haces de luz sólida (9) sobre la rueda (1) de tal manera que interfieran constantemente con la pestaña y la banda de rodadura de la rueda, proyectándose sobre un filtro opaco (4) las imágenes producidas por dichos haces de luz sólida. Una cámara de vídeo (5) capta las imágenes proyectadas sobre el filtro opaco (4) y las envía a un ordenador (6), en donde se archivan dichas imágenes para procesarlas posteriormente. El proceso de medida es iniciado por un sistema de disparo (7) que detecta la presencia de una rueda (1) y activa o desactiva el equipo de medida. La invención es aplicable a la reparación y mantenimiento de rodaduras ferroviarias.
