Abstract

Dispositivo aplicable a la captura y transmisión de imágenes fotográficas a través de redes de datos de bajo ancho de banda (1), constituido a partir de una cámara digital (2), un microprocesador dotado de elementos periféricos asociados y un transmisor en el que en el contexto del microprocesador se articulan un módulo de captura y codificación de imágenes y un dispositivo de acceso a la red de datos (8), en el que el módulo de captura y codificación de imágenes (3), a su vez está constituido a partir de un procesador de transformada (4), un procesador de escalado de coeficientes (5), un procesador codificador DAPW (6) y un procesador de codificado de coeficientes (7), proporcionando una señal comprimida representativa de la imagen capturada, por la cámara digital (2) a un dispositivo receptor (10) a través de una red de datos telefónica (9).
