SE PRESENTA UN METODO PARA DETERMINAR EN LINEA, DE FORMA NO DESTRUCTIVA EL PERFIL DE DENSIDAD EN UN MATERIAL EN FORMA DE PLANCHA CON UNA DENSIDAD QUE VARIA DE FORMA DISCRETA O CONTINUA A LO LARGO DEL GROSOR DE LA PLANCHA, MIENTRAS LA DENSIDAD EN UNA PROFUNDIDAD ESPECIFICA DE LA PLANCHA SE ASUME QUE ES CONSTANTE, TAL COMO, POR EJEMPLO, PLANCHAS BASADAS EN MADERA, POR MEDIO DE RAYOS X O DE RAYOS GAMMA DE UNA FUENTE COLOCADA SOBRE UN LADO DE LA PLANCHA. SE COLOCAN DOS DETECTORES SOBRE EL OTRO LADO DE LA PLANCHA, UN DETECTOR MIDE EN LA DIRECCION DE EMISION DE LA FUENTE Y EL OTRO DETECTOR MIDE EN LA OTRA DIRECCION Y ES MOVIL CON RELACION A LA PLANCHA.
