MAS ESPECIALMENTE, ESTE PROCEDIMIENTO CONSISTE EN TRATAR UNA MUESTRA QUE CONTIENE EPO EN UNAS CONDICIONES QUE SUPRIMEN EL EPO DESIALILADO Y EN MEDIR LA ACTIVIDAD IN VITRO DE LA EPO DE LA MUESTRA TRATADA RESULTANTE. EN UNA REALIZACION PREFERIDA, LA EPO DESIALILADA SE SUPRIME DE LA MUESTRA POR INCUBACION DE DICHA MUESTRA CON CELULAS DE LA LINEA CELULAR DEL HEPATOCARCINOMA HUMANO HEPG2, Y SE DETERMINA LA ACTIVIDAD IN VITRO DE LA EPO POR INCUBACION DE LA MUESTRA TRATADA CON CELULAS DE UNA LINEA CELULAR QUE REACCIONA A LA EPO, Y POR MEDIDA DE LA PROLIFERACION O DE LA VIABILIDAD DE LAS CELULAS QUE REACCIONAN A LA EPO.
