Abstract
Se describe un procedimiento para producir un granulado de espuma, en el que un material sintético termoplástico es colocado en una extrusora, el material sintético es fundido, un agente expansor presurizado es alimentado por una o varias boquillas de inyección, el material fundido enriquecido con el medio expansor es espumado, mientras sale a través de una placa perforada dispuesta en la salida de la extrusora, y es granulado por un dispositivo de corte dispuesto por detrás de la placa perforada. Se describe, también, un dispositivo para implementar el procedimiento y el granulado de espuma. La invención está caracterizada porque el material fundido se enfría de manera controlada mientras sale de la placa perforada y sale directamente al interior de un medio de enfriamiento circulante, porque la temperatura del material fundido y la temperatura y la presión del medio de enfriamiento se regulan de tal modo que, una vez que el material fundido sale de la placa perforada, la superficie del material fundido es endurecida directamente en una película cerrada con una superficie uniforme que tiene un grosor que varía desde 10 hasta 500 {mu}m, preferiblemente de 20 a 200 {mu}m, una vez que el material fundido es espumado y que es formado un granulado con una superficie redondeada y con una densidad de 10 a 600 gr/l. Se obtiene, así, un granulado semiesférico con una superficie uniforme.
