LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN PROCEDIMIENTO DE OBTENCION DE ZINC METALICO ELECTROLITICO DE ELEVADA PUREZA, CON ELEVADA EFICIENCIA, A PARTIR DE MEZCLAS RICAS (MAS DEL 0,5 %) EN MANGANESO (SULFURO DE ZINC), A TRAVES DE UNA DESMANGANIZACION ELECTROLITICA EN FRIO, PREVIA A LA ELECTROLISIS PARA LA ELECTRODEPOSICION DEL ZINC. DICHA FASE PREVIA PERMITE ELIMINAR SIMULTANEAMENTE LA MASA DE MANGANESO AÑADIDA, MEDIANTE DEPURACION A PARTIR DE LA DISOLUCION EN FORMA DE DIOXIDO DE MANGANESO. LAS CONDICIONES CRITICAS DE FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL PROCESO PROPORCIONAN UN INCREMENTO DE DIEZ VECES EN LA EFICIENCIA DE ELIMINACION DEL MANGANESO, COMPARADA CON LA DE LAS CELULAS DE DESMANGANIZACION UTILIZADAS NORMALMENTE EN EL ESTADO DE LA TECNICA PREVIO, Y MANTENIENDOSE DICHO VALOR MEDIANTE LA UTILIZACION DE LOS MISMOS ANODOS DURANTE UN PERIODO DE FUNCIONAMIENTO DE TREINTA DIAS CONSECUTIVOS, SIN CAMBIOS O MANTENIMIENTO EXCESIVO, Y A UN BAJO COSTE DE FUNCIONAMIENTO.
