Abstract
Un calentador de proceso que comprende: una cámara (1) de reacción de oxidación, la cámara (1) de reacción de oxidación teniendo una entrada (2) para el oxidante, una salida (3) de productos de combustión, y una vía (4) de flujo entre la entrada (2) y la salida (3); un conducto (5) de combustible capaz de transportar una mezcla combustible a una pluralidad de boquillas (6) de combustible dentro de la cámara (1) de reacción de oxidación, cada boquilla (6) proporcionando comunicación desde el conducto (5) de combustible a la cámara (1) de oxidación, con cada boquilla (6) a lo largo de la vía (4) de flujo entre la entrada (2) y la salida (3); un precalentador (7) en comunicación con la entrada (2) de la cámara de oxidación, siendo el precalentador (7) capaz de incrementar la temperatura del oxidante hasta una temperatura, resultante en la combinación de oxidante y combustible de la boquilla (6) de combustible más cercana a la entrada(2)dela cámara de oxidación, que es mayor que la temperaturade autoignición de la combinación de oxidante y combustible de la boquilla (6) de combustible más cercana a la entrada (2) de la cámara de oxidación; donde el calor transferido de la sección de oxidación no causa que la temperatura de la mezcla dentro de la cámara (1) de reacción de oxidación en la vecindad de cada boquilla (6) de combustible disminuya por debajo de la temperatura de autoignición de la mezcla combinada en la cámara (1) de oxidación en la vecindad de dicha boquilla (6) de combustible, donde el calentador comprende además una cámara (8) de proceso de reacción endotérmica en relación de intercambio de calor con la cámara (1) de reacción de oxidación.
