Bujía de incandescencia del tipo de espiga (10) para su disposición en el espacio de combustión de motores de combustión interna para compresión de aire, con una carcasa metálica (11) con forma tubular, en cuyo taladro longitudinal (12) está fijada herméticamente una espiga de incandescencia (16) con una parte de su longitud, encontrándose entre la espiga de incandescencia (16) y la carcasa (11) de la bujía por lo menos parcialmente una hendidura anular (21), que sale desde el extremo de la carcasa de la bujía en el lado del espacio de combustión, caracterizada porque la hendidura anular está formada por una zona (16C) con diámetro reducido en la espiga de incandescencia (16).
