Abstract
Procedimiento de carburación en fase gaseosa para la fabricación de un polvo de WC de grano fino que no presenta fases extrañas detectables en un análisis por difracción de rayos X, con un tamaño medio de grano primario > 0,2 m y < 5 m, un grado de carburación > 96 % y un contenido en carbono libre < 0,1 % en peso, en instalaciones para reacciones en capa turbulenta, preferentemente en una instalación de lecho fluidizado, partiendo de polvo no granulado fluido que contiene wolframio u óxido de wolframio y presenta un tamaño medio de grano d50 > 10 m como material a carburar y de gas de proceso con contenido en carbono en forma de una mezcla gaseosa de COx/H2, siendo X = 1 y/o 2, o una mezcla de hidrocarburo gaseoso y H2, eventualmente con pequeñas proporciones de vapor de H2O, caracterizado porque el material a carburar se lleva de forma continua, en un único paso, a una temperatura de proceso de > 900ºC a 1200ºC a una velocidad de calentamiento habitual de 1ºC a 50ºC por minuto bajo gas protector, porque cuando se alcanza la temperatura de proceso se cambia la atmósfera gaseosa en la instalación de gas protector por gas de proceso, porque el gas de proceso alimentado consta de 10 a 100 % en vol. de COx, siendo el resto H2, o también de 0,1 a 5 % en vol. de hidrocarburo gaseoso, siendo el resto H2, y posee al mismo tiempo, durante todo el proceso y a la temperatura de proceso, una actividad de carbono ac < 1 y lo más próxima posible a 1 en la zona del material a carburar en la instalación.
