LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN DISPOSITIVO PARA DETERMINAR LA POSICION ANGULAR DEL VOLANTE DE DIRECCION DE UN VEHICULO DE MOTOR, UTILIZANDO UN SENSOR DEL ANGULO DE DIRECCION Y UN DISPOSITIVO ELECTRONICO DE EVALUACION PARA DETERMINAR LA POSICION ANGULAR. SEGUN LA INVENCION, EL SENSOR DE ANGULO DE DIRECCION VA INTEGRADO A UNA UNIDAD DE CONTACTO PARA TRANSMITIR ENERGIA Y DATOS DESDE SUBCONJUNTOS FIJOS DEL VEHICULO AL VOLANTE DE DIRECCION, Y VICEVERSA. EL SENSOR DEL ANGULO DE DIRECCION SE ENCUENTRA DISPUESTO PREFERENTEMENTE COMO PARTE DE UN ESTATOR Y ROTOR, EN UNA UNIDAD DE CONTACTO QUE ACTUA SIN CONTACTO, Y COMPRENDE EL ESTATOR (3) Y EL ROTOR (5). DE ESTE MODO, EL SENSOR DE ANGULO DE DIRECCION NO EXIGE NINGUN ESPACIO ADICIONAL PARA SU INSTALACION, Y SE DISMINUYEN ASI LOS COSTES.
