Abstract
Un método de hacer un material coherente unido incluyendo una masa de cristales de diamante en una matriz, donde el contenido de cristales de diamante en el material es inferior a 85 % en volumen, incluyendo los pasos de proporcionar una fuente de los cristales de diamante a cultivar y que están sustancialmente libres de superficies macroscópicamente facetadas, producir una masa de reacción poniendo los cristales de diamante fuente en contacto con un solvente/catalizador adecuado, someter la masa de reacción a condiciones de temperatura y presión elevadas adecuadas para crecimiento del cristal de diamante en la zona de reacción de un aparato de alta temperatura/alta presión para producir el material y sacar el material de la zona de reacción, eligiéndose las condiciones de crecimiento de cristal de diamante de tal manera que los cristales de diamante fuente se conviertan en cristales de diamante que han desarrollado facetas macroscópicas de bajo índice Miller, generándose la fuerza de excitación de supersaturación necesaria para el crecimiento de cristales de diamante predominantemente por la diferencia de la energía superficial libre entre superficies de bajo índice de Miller y superficies de alto índice de Miller de los cristales de diamante fuente.
