Abstract

La invención se refiere a un proceso para el tratamiento de material en bruto que contiene aluminio o un metal similar fundido a baja temperatura y materia orgánica, el proceso incluye la separación de metales. La invención está particularmente dirigida para el tratamiento de desechos de envases de líquidos que consta de una lámina de aluminio, material polímero y posibles residuos fibrosos para recuperar el aluminio y para utilizar la material orgánica como combustible. De acuerdo con la invención el material en bruto (5) se introduce en un lecho fluidizado burbujeante (3), en donde se gasifica la material orgánica a una temperatura mayor que el punto de fusión del metal presente. El gas extraído del lecho fluidizado y el metal introducido se enfrían subsecuentemente hasta una temperatura por debajo del punto de fusión del metal mediante la mezcla de un medio refrigerante tal como agua (6) en el flujo gaseoso. Las partículas sólidas de metal se separan eventualmente del gas, por ejemplo mediante un ciclón (8) y el flujo de gas se filtra posiblemente (11) antes de su combustión.
