Abstract
Placas de escayola o yeso reforzadas con adiciones binarias de fibras de polipropileno y dispersiones de melamina- formaldehído. La presente invención consiste en un material con el que se consigue un yeso o una escayola muy resistente para la elaboración de placas prefabricadas de gran formato para su uso en la construcción que resuelve en gran medida las limitaciones del yeso o escayola como son su mínima resistencia mecánica, sus rápidos tiempos de fraguado así como la fisuración de juntas. Este material está constituido por cualquier tipo de yeso o escayola como matriz principal, con adiciones binarias de fibras de polipropileno y dispersiones de melamina formaldehído y permite alcanzar valores de rotura a flexotracción del mismo orden de magnitud que los valores de rotura que se obtienen a compresión.
