SE HACE REACCIONAR UN SUSTRATO AROMATICO, TAL COMO BENCENO, CON UN AGENTE DE ALQUILACION, TAL COMO ETILENO, SOBRE UN CATALIZADOR DE TIPO PENTASIL, INCLUYENDO LOS TIPOS ZSM-5 Y SILICALITA. LA ALIMENTACION AROMATICA PUEDE SER UTILIZADA EN EL PROCESO DE LA PRESENTE INVENCION SIN SECADO PARA ELIMINAR EL AGUA. HASTA AHORA HABIA SIDO NECESARIO ELIMINAR EL AGUA DE LA ALIMENTACION, POR EJEMPLO MEDIANTE DESTILACION, PUESTO QUE SE HABIA OBSERVADO QUE AUN CANTIDADES TRAZAS DE AGUA DEGRADABAN ACUSADAMENTE MUCHOS CATALIZADORES DE TIPO PENTASIL.
