Abstract

Procedimiento para fabricar diisocianatos mediante la fosgenación de las diaminas correspondientes en fase gaseosa en el que: a) se calientan por separado las diaminas en forma de vapor, dado el caso, diluidas con un gas inerte o con los vapores de un disolvente inerte y fosgeno a temperaturas de 200°C a 600°C y se hacen reaccionar entre sí en forma continua en una cámara de reacción cilíndrica sin partes móviles calentada a 200°C hasta 600°C, manteniendo una corriente turbulenta, b) la mezcla gaseosa que abandona en forma continua la cámara de reacción se enfría con la ayuda de un disolvente inerte líquido que se mantiene a una temperatura mayor que la temperatura de descomposición del cloruro de ácido carbámico correspondiente en la diamina, obteniéndose una solución del diisocianato en este disolvente y c) se somete el diisocianato en solución en el disolvente inerte a un procesamiento mediante destilación, caracterizado porque como diaminas que se han de fosgenar se usan aquéllas elegidas entre el grupo constituido por diaminas cicloalifáticas con dos grupos amino primarios en posición 1,2 ó 1,3 uno respecto al otro.
