Abstract

Procedimiento para obtener nuevas formulaciones a base de luteína. La presente invención describe un procedimiento de preparación de formulaciones de luteína microcristalina, particularmente en forma de ésteres, estables a la oxidación y solubles en medios hidrofílicos y/o lipofílicos. Para ellos los ésteres de luteína se mezclan con antioxidantes, aceites vegetales y/o disolventes orgánicos, siendo esta mezcla inicial sometida a diversas etapas según el tipo de formulación que finalmente se desee obtener. Estas formulaciones son de aplicación directa como colorantes tanto en los campos farmacéutico, alimentario y en cosmética. Asimismo pueden utilizarse como suplementos nutricionales.
