Abstract

La invención se refiere a un molde para dar forma un cuerpo básicamente anular, que comprende una serie de segmentos de molde externos (14/28) que pueden desplazarse radialmente y que se sujetan entre sí mediante un anillo (anillo exterior (16)) que tiene una superficie deslizante cónica (18) que mira hacia los segmentos del molde. Unos elementos de sujeción (24), cada uno de los cales está conectado a un segmento del molde, se acoplan en una acanaladura (20) vaciada sobre la superficie de deslizamiento cónica de manea que los segmentos del molde puedan moverse radialmente cuando el anillo (16) se desplaza axialmente, en donde al menos una superficie de soporte (26) descansa sobre una superficie de una pared de la acanaladura (22). Para obtener una apertura secuencial del molde, reduciendo de esta forma las fuerzas que se ejercen sobre los neumáticos o los diferentes cuerpos anulares durante el proceso de conformación, la invención se caracteriza por el hecho de que la sección de corte de ciertos elementos de sujeción (24) tiene unas dimensiones tales que la superficie de soporte (26) descansa sobre la superficie de la pared correspondiente de la acanaladura (22) mucho después en comparación con la superficie de soporte de los otros elementos de sujeción cuando el anillo exterior se desplaza axialmente.
