EL PROCESO INCLUYE LA ETAPA DE HUMEDECER EL PIGMENTO METALICO CON UN LIQUIDO, QUE PODRIA SER AGUA O UN DISOLVENTE ORGANICO COMPATIBLE CON EL TIPO DE PIGMENTO. EL PIGMENTO HUMEDECIDO SE COLOCA ENTONCES EN UN RECIPIENTE POROSO, QUE SE SELLA ANTES DE LA RETIRADA DEL LIQUIDO. LA POROSIDAD DEL RECIPIENTE SE ELIGE DE MANERA QUE PERMITA LA RETIRADA DEL LIQUIDO (POR EJEMPLO, POR EVAPORACION Y/O CENTRIFUGACION) MIENTRAS CONSERVA SUSTANCIALMENTE LA TOTALIDAD DEL PIGMENTO.
