Abstract
Se presenta un procedimiento para la preparación de melamina a partir de urea por medio de un proceso a alta presión en el cual se obtiene melamina sólida transfiriendo la melamina fundida que viene del reactor a un vaso en el que la melamina fundida es enfriada con un medio de refrigeración de evaporación. La melamina fundida viene del reactor de melamina a una temperatura entre el punto de fusión de la melamina y 450º C y se rocía dentro de un vaso de enfriamiento, por medio de un dispositivo de rociado y se enfría por medio de un medio de refrigeración por evaporación para formar polvo de melamina. El vaso de enfriamiento tiene un entorno de amoníaco con una presión incrementada del amoníaco. La melamina fundida se convierte de esta forma en polvo de melamina que tiene una temperatura de entre 200 º C y el punto de solidificación de la melamina. El polvo de melamina se enfría entonces hasta una temperatura inferior a 200 º C agitando mecánicamente el polvo de melamina mientras es directao indirectamente enfriado, después de lo cual la presión del amoníaco disminuye y, si fuera necesario, el polvo de melamina se enfría adicionalmente.
